Rich Africa!

Everytime I look up something I find out it is from Africa our rich land! We need to remember to appreciate all that it gives.

Some of my favorite hair and skin ingredients include:

Cocoa Butter

Beloved for its pleasant aroma, taste, and softening qualities this nut grows in our rich African land.

Shea Oil

I’ve found that this oil penetrates the hair and softens FAR better than the butter. This nut has been used for centuries in the North and West countries of Africa.

Palm Kernel Oil

Palm kernel oil or rather butter has a slight coffee-like scent and is a great softener and heavier sealer. It is derived from the seed inside the palm fruit. Palm fruit and oil are used widely throughout West Africa.

Castor Oil

A great humectant used by those of African descent the Jamaicans. This thick serum fuses with moisture to draw it into the hair when combined with a water mixture.

Rose Hip Oil

Rosehips were a remedy that was used by the ancient Egyptians, Mayans and Native Americans all because of their healing properties — the oil can be made by cold press or by slow-cooking it,” according to Joanna Vargas (celebrity facialist). This is a light, healing, penetrating oil with a pinkish red hue.
